Name:
Mel Caddick

Mel Caddick from Australia - An editor of BrickJournal magazine.
Mel helps spotlight all the exiting things that go on around the LEGO Fan communities in Europe. Via her job for BrickJournal, she is involved in more than twenty LEGO clubs and communities and, as often as possible, she attends LEGO events around the world.

Fan of a life time
As a LEGO fan herself, Mel knows what she is dealing with. She has been dedicated to LEGO ever since her grandparents bought her a LEGO set bigger than herself for her 3rd birthday.
Today, at the age of 32, building with LEGO is still very much part of her life. Mel puts it like this: "You can do anything with it – it is multifunctional". She collects everything LEGO related from special parts in all colors to sets and other LEGO projects.

Mel’s Furniture
Mel specializes in interior design for her own models as well as existing LEGO models. She finds it a great challenge to make recognizable furniture fit in small rooms as the ones in the modular house Market Street, designed by Eric Brok. "It makes things look more realistic and comes to life, giving it that finishing touch", Mel adds.

Mel shares her fantastic furniture in her own LEGO Factory gallery here . You can also get inspiration from Mel and get started designing your own furniture. Mel’s Furniture offers some tips and tricks as how to get started building furniture.
